House advances 95 billion aid package to protect foreign borders but does not address us border.  
 
UAW secures historic win in TN Volkswagen auto election.  This is the first auto plant in the south to unionize since the 1940s and is part of the UAW drive to unionize 150,000 new workers in 2024.

Huge Supreme Court case heard on Wednesday.  Combined case of Moyle v United States and Idaho v United States will probably further complicate the US abortion issue.  At center of the case is whether hospitals can perform abortions in Emergency situations in states where abortions are illegal and a 1986 federal law  requiring hospitals not to turn people away.

​Trump and Speaker Johnson announce bill to secure voting.  This is simply an election stunt and will not go anywhere past the house.
 
Recent poll shows Trump has won over multiple black voters and young people.

With Caitlin Clark being drafted #1 in the WNBA draft a lot of talk about her rookie salary of 76,850 a year verses other rookies in leagues signing 1mm to 38mm depending on the league, mostly males.  This has sparked further conversation about pay discrepancy ignoring the overall revenues between the leagues people are just looking at the salaries not overall finances.

​Cargo ships loses power and takes out a key bridge in Baltimore and shuts down me of the busiest ports in US for an undetermined amount of time.
 
The Minnesota State (real school) Screaming Eagles (fake mascot) win their first national championship in basketball D2.
 
Final four is Set with a 11 seed, NC STATE, 2 number ones UConn first current national champ to make it to final 4 since 2007, Purdue only second team to lose to a 16 and following Virginia made it to final 4 next year then Alabama and now NC state following a trend of a 11 seed.
 
A group of teenagers hacked Vegas and crashed all of the casinos.
 
Biden declares March 31st as national TransGender day, causing an uproar among Catholics and religious followers.  This day has been internationally recognized for several years and the date happens to coincide with Easter.  However being in the White House now for his fourth Easter he could have recognized the day some other year and it would not have been the same uproar.

House again relies on heavy mixture of democrats and splits Republican vote to pass a 1.2 trillion bill to avoid shutdown.
 
Marjorie Taylor Greene subsequently files petition to vacate chair so we can have another battle for speaker as republicans are now down to 1 seat majority 
 
Princess Kate comes out with cancer everyone freaks out and commends her for her bravery.  Wouldn’t she have been braver if she didn’t use a body double or doctor photos, and just have said it?
 
Yale defeats Auburn in huge upset in tournament for men’s Basketball 
 
NCAA men’s tournament ends first weekend with stunningly low upsets but mostly good games and all 1 seeds made it to second week.
 
The Women’s tournament though uncharacteristically was filled with lackluster play and a lot of upsets.
 
In a rare break from Policy the US abstained in a UN Security Council vote on a resolution for cease fire with Israel. Dropping their right to veto, this after a US backed resolution failed last week.
