Leadership is vital to the growth of the business, but this section is commonly missed by business owners as they are the leaders so they do not feel they need to address it. Unfortunately do, and should address it by looking varying pieces that are important to the business, and even if they are the only leader, then there needs to be a plan on how leadership will grow with business. Too often when businesses get money, the owner hires people to take functions off they might not like, this is not always a sound strategy, usually the better strategy is to offload things you are a good at, say sales, to a vp of sales, so you can be more strategic, and focus on things like cash flow and reinvesting. Of course this is not always a sound strategy, especially when your business is dependent on you, like an inventor, that might not be the thing you give up, but you build a team underneath you to do the hard work and you focus on the ideas, and then you hire a sales team to do the selling, all of this should be put into the thought of the management and leadership section.
Lastly, although it is usually the first section, you write the business overview and this should be a five page description of what makes you different and why you think the business will work. This is the blueprint for the company, you should briefly address the other sections discussed, but not in a summary form, but will help them understand why these sections led you to the thought process tat your business was a great idea.
